my Dell , is crashing, i think

Hello all , sometimes, i can be playing WoW , or just lisening to music , and all of a sudent , my computer turn a blue screen , and says like windows "something " was accurd a probleme , file being process ? :confused:

each time it does that , i restart my Dell , and run the Norton Anti virus full scan , it cant find the problem , what am i doing wrong , or what should i do ?

please help !

Maybe something missing in registry, do you have Dell's restore CD or the Windows CD that Dell sent you? This is typical for a Dell, I have had problems with all Dell PC's except, I don't hear many problems with the Optiplex series.
 
Can you copy down what the "Blue Screen" Says

Btw, Its commonly known as a Blue Screen Of Death. Very Common in first time builders.
 
dont be harsh! he may of just not looked. Sometimes i just look at the problem and hit post
 
Hey , yeah ,thx allot , ill copy like the 500 words downs lol ,,, or ill just try to take a picture with a camera of the screen , since it pisses my off allot, when a doing something importent , and it just randomly shuts off, when it does it again , ill post it up !

There are various reasons to why you get the Blue Screen. A most common one is due to memory issues. I would suggest that you run MemTest from www.memtest86.com. Download the Win32 DOS version, make a bootable floppy or CD with the file and run MemTest for 12 hours (a standard testing length for memory manufacturers), and see if you get any errors. If your memory has problems, it most likely won't get past test#5 or test#7. Reply here with results.
