i got the fever to start upgrading my PC about a week ago and have decided on a Q9400 for my CPU. i was wanting to go SLI with my 8800gt because it would match the performance of the higher new generation cards, but i could do it for 150 dollars. then i got to thinking i would have to upgrade my PSU to accomodate the extra GPU, so i decided to stick with the power supply i have now and just run one very nice card. my power supply is an antec earthwatts 500 in case anyone was interested.
my question is this.... is it stupid to upgrade from an 8800gt to something like a GTX 260? i just want to hear what you guys think before i spend the $$$
