My Dream PC

You should look for single level cell(SLC) instead of multi(MLC) type on the ssd if at all possible. Accesses data faster, even if a bit more money and a smaller size it is a worthwhile investment. Especially considering how ssd wears out over time and gradually gets slower- I would get the faster version from the get go. The importance of having an ssd at all comes into play when you need a speed increase for launching and running certain applications. Putting the OS on it is a wise move, as well as any slow to start programs too.

why no SSD? It's the best single speed increase you can do. I put one in my sytem and it was night-and-day difference. Loading the BIOS takes longer than booting Windows.
 
because its way to expensive and i"m only going to be playing games so i don"T see the ppoint , but if you do please share :)

also please choose one of the mother board i listed because i need help on that
 
the games load so much quicker if they're on the SSD. I have played Skyrim on a PS3, my computer without a SSD, and with a SSD. Without it, I didn't time it but the little text bit down the bottom left of the loading screen changes twice. With the SSD, it loads so quickly it doesn't even have time to appear. Think 2 seconds to load the whole outside world map.

Well if you can find me some cheap ssd memory like under $100 i'll go for it but also which motherboard do you recommend taht i chose? its up 3-5 posts
 
Remember to use solid state drives alongside a larger drive for storage. Put only what you plan to use and also that which benefits from a speed increase on the drive. You can probably get a 90 or 100gb solid state drive for around $100. When I was looking around for them, the ratio of cost to gb size was 1:1.
 
ok well the Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3 is co launching with the i7 3770k so i think ill go with that one but on your ssd if i have an extra hundred ill buy some ssd but i heard that they wear down over time
 
the Sniper M3 is a Micro ATX board, meaning all the parts are closer together so there is more heat. It will also look a little silly inside a full ATX case.

SSDs usually last the same time, if not longer than mechanical drives.

well my graphics card is 2.5gb your is only 1.5gb the 3gb is $500 other than that whats new in 580 that not in 570

and i like the smaller case it looks better... but will all my stuff fit in there?
 
the 580 is nothing new. It is the same core as the 570 except it has all 512 cores enabled instead of 480 of them. And the Vram is not really important unless you are running at a high resolution (above 1080p).
 
well i can wait a little bit and then ill have enough money, but what do you think about the oter specs on my computer like will this be fast enough computer to play battlefield 3 on high graphics online
