I just inserted some blank DVDs into my DVD drive. I am prompted to open up the E: drive but when I do, it says that "E:/ drive isn't accessible. Incorrect function" . What am I doing wrong?

I have a DVD R/RW drive and I'm using DVD -RW discs so am not sure what I'm doing wrong?

If you're trying to burn a disk, you need to use some other program. Windows built-in burning software is mediocre at best. Try using something like Deep Burner or ImgBurn.

How sad that I can't even open up the damn drive. I'm sure it's mediocre at best but surely there must be a way to fix this issue?

In the meantime, I did go download ImgBurn so thank you.

try going to your drive letter in windows explorer, right click on it, go to properties, click on recording, check enable cd recording on this drive, and see if that fixes it!! ;)
