My E6400 arrived!

It's nothing like I expected it to be! The CPU is "externally" pinless and is MUCH smaller than my predecessing A64-3200. The heatsink and fan are absolutely MASSIVE (I actually dropped it from a small height onto soft carpet accidentally) and its weight is really quite heavy.

It uses a 4-pin fan connector, but ironically, the manual says that it can work in a 3-pin fan as well. Pics soon!

nice, thing probably crushes my cpu, considering it'll perform slightly better at default clocks and is WAY more overclockable.
what do you mean externally pinless? lol im confused, if you dont mind explaining or maybe even posting a pic...

Thanks for the comment. Pics will be taken shortly! It is a pinless design in that there are no pins on the outside.

**  runs over and steals CPU:rolleyes:  **

lucky devil.....

Im going to go for a 6300, as they seem to clock to 3.3Gh-ish on air, and in a mATX mobo should be like a rocket....

What mobo and RAM are you using with it ??

mmm.... would go for an Asus P5B Deluxe, and some Team Xtreem 5300... it can easily do DDR-1000 no probs without a divider

id still go for the Team stuff over corsair for non-OCed RAM anyday....

i swear by the stuff..... ( when i can get some new DDR2 stuff........ that is)
