My external HDD is broken !

My 1 TB external hard drive broke just now, the USB port got ripped straight out of the casing.
Am I rite in thinking.... I can remove the metal hard drive from the casing and buy an enclosure for it. (Presumably then I just plug it into the enclosure and i'm ready to go again).

Yes the hard drive is just like any one you would find inside a PC.
