Thanks,

And if you see any problems plz tell me and or if u could suggest a change i cant go any more higher.

1st: Go with intel core 2 duo.
2nd: Go with the 7900gt. The hgt will perform better in most situations then the xt.

i switched the CPU to Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe
with a Combo of the CPU and MOBO so yeah ill prolly OC it since Conroe temps are low anyways and i got a better Heatsink and fan. one review said they OCed it to 3.0 ghz with stock cooling which idk if he lieing or sumtin.

I would definitely lose the HDD. Western Digital SEs are unreliable pieces of junk (and I was an authorized WD retailer. Emphasis on was). I hate them. They have an absurd failure rate and they don't perform well under pressure.

As an alternative may I suggest a Maxtor Maxline III. They're hard to find for some reason but they are enterprise level harddrives. They are designed for heavy duty use and have a high duty cycle, so you can beat the crap out of it and it'll take it. It also has a very good warranty.

Everything else seems ok though for sure.

IMO, Maxtor hard drive are junk, but thats me. Not all hard drives are bad, and from what I've read about WD SE's they are nice. I just ordered one myself yesterday.

When you have RMA'd as many dead WD HDDs as I have you will think differently, believe me.

Maxtor made three bad lines of drives several years ago which gave me nothing but grief. The Fireball 3, DiamondMax 8 and 541DX I think they were. The first two for sure. I am reasonably certain about the last one. After that I had very few problems with them. I recently lost a D740X, but I had had it for more than five years and used it in a file server. That poor thing took a real beating. I still have the other three though and they still work.

Stick with the X1800XT, that's a great price.

How much are you paying for your motherboard?

You might get a bad hard drive, but probably not. I have both a Maxtor and Western Digital hard drives, both work flawlessly.

my Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS hasnt messed up once

So what? I have dealt with WD since 1999. I have had a sample size of several hundred units, if not more. Over 1/3 of them malfunctioned within the first year.

Of course you are going to get the people that are satisfied with WD, but in the grand scheme of things that's meaningless.
