My First Build (help and comments) Please!

Ok, so here is what Im getting from you guys...

Video card is good
Motherboard is good
Case is good although a little "old"
Power supply is good

CPU cooler... I really liked this cooler. looks like it would look good with the other parts and it had good reviews. Anyone else think it would not be sufficient?

CPU Still going back and forth...

We on the same page?
The 1100 is fine! IDK why the others are saying it's not good but it's fine, go ahead and get it.

As for the CPU, is gaming going to be the only thing you do? If so, get a 3570K. If you do video editing or anything else that is CPU intensive, get a 3770K.

also picked that case because it still had ventilation through the window. Why dont more do this?

Well its your choice. I still recommend the Corsair Carbide 300R or 400R

A 3570K will do video editing just as well as a 3770, maybe even better when OC'd

What do you guys think of this one. Just found it. Looks pretty nice...?

Also I am thinking I will go i5 and save some money. Mostly a gaming rig so that should hold me a couple/few years right?

Ok... and as far as the MSATA on the board... What size should I get. Surely it shouldnt be too large. I am having trouble finding information about it.

Shouldn't need it. For an SSD all you need is a SATA 6GB/s port, which all current boards have. :)

On a side note....

Any gains if I were to go with windows 7 Ultimate?
You get language packs and BitLocker drive encryption on top of everything which Home and Pro have to offer.

I was going to get a SSD for a drive also maybe 240G but the Slot on the board is for caching. I am under the impression it is more of an additional RAM type deal. Is that wrong? I have the slot. If it will help at all I would like to put something in it.

My Dad has the slot in his board but doesn't have anything in it and his PC is still very fast. I'd say it doesn't matter.

Anyone familiar with this?
