my first build.. hopefully

Hey ppl,

This being my first build I feel alittle sketchy about it. Not totally even sure if it will work.. or perform correctly.


looking to find out if all these componets will work to there full potencial together, but if not what you might recommend.


Going for a dominating gamin computer for my drug of chioce, World of Warcrack and for futur game to come.


my price rang is about $1000 and iv dun just alittle shopping around and mannaged to price this set up at $820ish.



-AMD Phenom X4 9950 Quad Core Processor HD995ZXAGHBOX

-Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 1000GB Hard Drive

-KFA2 Galaxy GeForce 9800 GTX + Video Card

-Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory

-Sony DRU-V200S/BR DVD Rewritable Drive SATA

-NZXT Apollo Black ATX Mid case

Looks all good, what power supply would you be using?

I suggest you would be using Intel instead of AMD.
But its your choice its up to you to decide.

AMD is Cheaper (Example is 2.66 Quad core AMD is around $170-190 a 2.66 Intel Quad core is like $300) and Get a bigger case the 9800 probably wont fit into a midtower case

Get a ATI 4850 instead of 9800GTX+. Your Mobo support Crossfire, not SLi
Also, 4850 support sound via HDMI, 9800GTX+ don't
