my first build

i want to start building a computer, i just wanted to check if this would build will work, id like to know of any comments or suggestions.




mother board

cpu

ram

video card

hard drive

power supply

case

im going to be using this for some gaming, music and movies.

after looking over the reviews for the ram, it looks like it isnt very good ram, any suggestions on what kind i should get?
 
All those parts are good. as for RAM, maybe look into some Corsair XMS3

I recommend you get a better graphics card like a 4850, 4870, 5770, GTS 250 or GTX 260.

the 9800gt just won't cut it anymore, the 4850 beats the 9800GTX+ which is basically a GTS 250.

The video card is over priced and the power supply is overkill.
Look at the GTS 250.

No it doesnt, over all the 4850 is slightly slower then a 9800GTX+ or GTS 250.
