From what ive read im not missing anything to major, but anyone that could give this a once over and point out any mistakes it would be great before i spend alot of money on things that wont work!

Many thanks in advance

Whats your budget?

Also I would go with the 5xxx ati series since this is a new pc and dx11 is coming out. So that you don't need to upgrade.

Gonna try and get this easier to read

Your MOBO and CPU are incompatible. You have a socket 1366 motherboard with a socket 1156 cpu. You need to choose which platform you want for starters. Do you want core i7 9** series with upgrade platform for high end chips and triple channel DDR3 - or do you want a core i7 8** series with mainstream upgrade path. The socket on CPU and Motherboard must be the same.

You chose triple channel RAM - which would be fine - but I'd go for 1600 DDR3 RAM to take advantage of the speed for marginal price difference. You also selected triple channel DDR3 Ram which is fine for a 1366 platform ( i7 9**, 9**, etc ) but a waste of money for the 1156 platform which utilitzes dual channel Memory slots ( but a pair of 2x2 GB DDR3 if you go with the core i7 860 and 1156 socket motherboard )

Antec 900 Case is nice - don't know what brand your 750W Power Supply is so can't comment on that.

Also, I didn't see a Hard Drive - Operating System ( Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium should be fine for most home PC's ) - and you'll need a CD / DVD R/W drive to burn media - and install software. Windows 7 comes on a DVD.

So you need to refine your search a little bit.

Ok, so in summary i need to change my PSU to better fit my MoBo and RAM

would the
Intel Nehalem i7 920 S1366 2.66GHz be suitable?
my budget is about £1000 but any saving is good right?!
and is compramising the quad core a big step down?

Oh and i missed out the HDrive and Opticcal drive as you pointed out :P

LG Electronics 8x Internal BD Combo Bare For the optical drive

and

Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black 7200rpm 32MB SATA 3.5" For the hard drive.

If there are any cheaper/mildly less expensive upgrades feel free to point them out

No PSU is Power Supply - you just need to make sure you get a quality brand - 750W will be more than adequate for the build you're looking at.

You need to match your CPU < processor > to your MOBO < motherboard > so the sockets match one another. Then choose dual or triple channel RAM - depending on which cpu / MOBO platform you choose

I'm not going to try and price in UK money - b/c I know US Dollars - The 920 and 870 are both good processors - the differences IMHO are marginal in today's performance - there will be a few more features for the core i7 motherboards - and like I mentioned ( others will have to explain them better than I could - but for my needs they are marginal ).

With the 860 you will be able to save money on dual channel RAM - rather than triple channel - and you shouldn't need more than 4 GB ram unless you're working with video rendering / editing work. The 1156 will generally be a less expensive motherboard comparared to the 1366 also.

For a new build at 1,000 dollar price point - I woulnd't go with anything but a quad core.
