My first build

I bought the 550 ti for $138 and its great. You can also get the samsung f3 1tb hd for the same price as that caviar.
 
That 1TB hard drive is not really 1TB it is 930GB and it only has sata 3.0 the one I had picked out is 750GB but sata 6.0 is the diff in 3.0gb/s to 6.0gb/s worth less than 200Gb total space?


Also what do you think about this vid card?

yeah that's a good one, it won't max games at 1080p, but it will get pretty good settings. also although the caviar black is faster, neither of the 2 even get close to 3gb/s, so that doesn't matter, no mechanical hdd's can read even close to the 3gb/s, they are closer to 1.5 or less really, just they use a different cable/socket so the cable can transfer that much info, but if it's on one of those drives it never will.

SATA is 1.5gbps.
SATA2 is 3gbps.
SATA3 is 6gbps.

For a regular HDD, SATA speed means almost nothing. With an SSD, make sure your board has SATA3 ports.
