Hi I'm going to be building my first pc and was going to be used mostly for gaming. I want to build it so it can max out any game, but I want to make it cheap at first and upgrade it over time to max out games. I want to have a nice case and motherboard at firs though not sure which to get. I was wondering if any one can help me on what to use for the beginning pieces.

Most to spend on each piece
case $120
motherboard $200
processor $200
memory $50
videocard $100
power supply $75

thank you!

Looks like about $800usd? Before Windows 7 ($100)? What country are you in so we'll know where you can buy from?

If you just had an overall total rather than a budget for each part, than you would get more performance for your money. For 800 without including any peripherals or windows you should be able to max everything with relative ease.

where is your HDD & OD?
For your budget, I suggest spend less on mobo and case, get a better video card

I live in america and the $800 sounds better to go off of. And for everything else my uncle has a lot of parts not posted so I can get them free

Do you have an os to install onto this new machine? Where are you going to get that? If you don't already have a usuable product key, you'll need to buy one. And exactly what make/model are the parts you have access to?

Assuming you get component from newegg
CPU - core i5 2500K
Mobo - mid-range $150 - 180. GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
RAM - $50 - 60 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600. e.g. g.skill Ripjaws x
Video card - 6870/ GTX 560/ 6950 1GB, depends on your budget
PSU - dual video card Consair TX 750 V2. Single card - Antec HCG-620/ EA-650, if you are ok with MIR. Or go for cheaper Antec BP550 Plus
Case - $50 range HAF 912, Antec 300, LIAN LI PC-K58W, or some Rosewill case, etc
$100 - CM 690 II, Corsair 400R, HAF 922, etc

I can get a unused key for windows 7 64-bit
And I can get a hard drive, disc drive, and about 6gig memory and not sure make/models, but they are a year or less in age.

well you'll want 4 or 8gb's of ram so it will be in dual channel, boosts performance some, so look for 2x2 or 2x4gb's

You'll probly be able to use the hdd/od but won't know for sure without knowing what you have. Who knows on the ram. If your wanting to use those parts, we HAVE to know what it is in order to make a recommendation.

With 800, here's a starter. You could go Intel as well.
Your ram/hdd. Just keep an eye on the hdd and at any sign of noise or malfunction-replace it right away, and keep your data backed up. your Teak is ide and this mb doesn't have that.

just about any brand cd/dvd burner you like that's sata.
a case to your liking but with good cooling/cable management features. post what you like for feedback.
Windows 7 64bit is $100 .
Bite off as much gpu as you want. a 6950 1 or 2gb will fit the $ and will play whatever you want.
As suggested is about $700 after 3 x $20 rebates. Without case.
