My First Build

I am building a system from the ground up and I need a few suggestions.
My budget is fluid, basically I am getting each item as I get the funds.
I currently have about $250 and I want to start with the Motherboard and CPU. I have searched on newegg.com and found this as a mobo:
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813186082

And this as a processor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103537

Any thoughts on this combo? One question I do have is the difference in the FSB numbers. On the Mobo it says "800MHz Hyper Transport (1600MT/s)" and the processor says "FSB 1Ghz" What do these numbers mean exactly and will it be a problem combining these? Should I choose a Mobo that has the same FSB speed as the processor or what?

Thanks,
Tormoni

What are you going to be using this computer for? i would recommend a better motherboard like a Asus or MSI. Are you going to be overclocking at all? If not then get the 3200+ processor.

Well, I'd like to use it for gaming. I'd like to get a motherboard that I can get a Athlon 64 proc for, but later on upgrade to Athlon 64 X2, I've been told that PCI-E is the way to go for Video. Any suggestions?

how much do you want to spend on the motherboard? and yes get PCI-E

I'd like to spend about 250 for the motherboard and cpu together. It appears this may not be possible unless I want to settle for the less-than-best. I don't know much about overclocking, so I doubt I would be doing much of that unless it's a simple process. What are the better brands for motherboards and such besides Asus or MSI?

Heres a good motherboard that has PCI-E? It has everything you need and should work good.
