the CPU is complete overkill. All you will need is a i7-3820 for gaming. Really you would be ok with a 2500k and a 1155 motherboard.

i forgot to say that i really want to host servers...
i thought a strong CPU was important for that.. is the I5 still enough then??

in that case I would keep the 2011 socket and down it to a i7-3930k. it is the same chip as the X edition that you originally posted, just 1 multiplier lower and 500 cheaper. That will free you up some money to go to a GTX 580 or HD7970.

I would wait for someone else to answer that as I have never herd of that brand and am unsure of its quality.

never, but that is not saying much. It might be a european(?) rebrand of something, sort of like holden vs chevy, or may be a complete separate brand. I know there are some guys on here will be able to tell for sure though, just hang tight.

and no problem at all. Its what we are here for.

also a dutchy here so just ask and i can translate or anything needed.

as said above: the cpu is overkill.

also id get a little stronger psu, for upgrading and SLI 560ti's are awesome but might eat alot of power, dont know if anyone agree's with me on this though

okay looks good, but if you want to have the 570's in SLI you have to have a better PSU.
try to look at corsair on alternare, they have really good psu's there. look for 700W(?) and above

oh lol didnt look right. but yeah it is a good wattage, and club3d is a good brand. go for it if you need to.

just a question though, why go for SB-E when an i5 2500k can also do the trick, and while Ivybrdige is coming out in the next few months?

hehe sorry for stupidness but what is ivybridge??
a new codename of intel??

oh and i dont even have the money for it yet first i'll have to work for it:P

ok a bit of a learning curve :D

intel introduced the First generation core i(insert number) processors.

so like the Core i5 760 (you can tell its 1st gen as its only 3 numbers, atleast i learnt it this way lol)

after a time, intel released the second generation Core i(insert number) codenamed SandyBridge.

then the end of last year if im correct (2011) they released the SandyBridge-E generation, which is the socket 2011 and the cpu you chose in this build.

now ivybridge is the new cpu generation they are releasing. in the second quarter of this year it should be released, i hope anyway.

but all in all SandyBridge is awesome, SB-E is kind of overkill but still awesome, and Ivybridge is gonna be sexy.

haha oke thanx for good lesson:P

yeah lol you might need it sometime, like with sockets but then again Alternate always has the right cpu for the socket at the pc builder thing so then again that lesson is also kind of worthless if no one cares about the generations lol
