Hello all,
So I have finally taken the plunge into building my own budget gaming machine. I have done my research and came up with the following build, and am taking to the forums for opinions and advice.
Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 (Link)
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ (Link)
CPU: AMD FX-6300 (Link)
GPU: GeForce GTX 650TI Boost SC 2GB
PSU: Corsair CX500M Power supply - 500 Watt (Link)
RAM: 8GB
Optical Drive: Samsung DVD Burner (Link)
Hard Drive: 1TB SATA Hard Drive
Operating System: Windows 7 (I am also toying around with the idea of also installing Windows XP and Linux Ubuntu alongside Windows 7)
I had attempted to select the components that will make a decent build that won't kick me right in the wallet. I am not an extreme gamer, and many of the games I do play are 2010-2011 era (Fallout: New Vegas, Civilization V etc...) Any comments, suggestions, or helpful hints to help a first time builder would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
