Yeah but when you spend 40-50+ hours per week working on your PC, and then in addition you want to be able to spend another 5+ hours gaming per week... it's tough to wait.
I *need* a new PC *now* because this laptop is just killing me. *Pats laptop on the monitor* - she served me well for a while, but it's time to lay her to rest.
I wouldn't buy one of the flashy new Intel processors anyway, so a high-end AMD system now that will still be considered high-end a few months from now would serve me well anyway. I'm sure X2 4800+ processor will still be able to handle pretty much any game a year from now, and I can always upgrade the cheaper components if necessary. *Shrug*
I think the toughest choice to make at this point is what type of video card to go with. Or even if I should go with a X2 4400+ instead of X2 4800+ that way if in 6 months from now I want to get a much cheaper FX-60 or something, I would be losing less money.
Plus, isn’t that DDR RAM just high quality stuff? Why would I even need DDR2 at this point? DDR can get the job done.
