yes its a lot of money!! 2000 is the max too. i need monitor, keyboard, mouse, everything!

the hard drives are 500GB sata samsungs... should i get Western Digital?
Should i go SLI instead???
and of coarse windows vista 64bit for the DX10
CD drive is an asus with lightscribe.
PS well want to play high performance games

I agree with oscaryu1 on most of the components...but here's what I'd change

Q9450 (not out yet, wait MAYBE 1 month)
8800GT (if you want to run SLI, get the 780i mobos, if you don't plan on running SLI, get X38 mobo)

Just my opinion(s)

It might be over the budget cause you don't know the "cheap" parts...

alright i decided on SLI... sorry for the hassle i caused. two 8800GTs is what im thinking

Good companies like Ultra won't rip you off that much. I think it should work fine... Unless you're going to run a million hard drives and quad SLi or something like that...

Ultra isn't very high on the list of good PSUs (if it's on the good list at all)
