i'd suggest an aftermarket heatsink such as the zalman 9700, thermalright ultra 120 extreme, or tuniq tower. the stock heatsink will do fine, but if you want to do any overclocking you'll need a better one.

and as for the PSU stick with the major brands because if you're investing this much on parts a bad and/or cheap PSU can fry it all instantly. Corsair, antec, OCZ, cooler master, and enermax are good brands to go by. better company will also provide better support and stand behind their product.

Well i have a $1,100 budget..and im already going over it. I have a XCLIO in my current rig and it has never failed me.
 
i think you added it wroung, try again. I dont think the mail in rebate price will be more than the original price...
 
Looking good. Although why not get a quad core. I know really no programs utilize all cores but think about it(if your buying from newegg.com) its an extra 70 or 80 bucks (last time i checked) you can overclock the core clock speed to reach 2.66ghz.

Quad cores are not worth the price, dual cores are fine

That is not on the manufacturers list of supported ram.

DDR2 1066 (Only support the memory on the Memory Support List on the official website)

This is the list of supported ram for that motherboard

ohh well thats lame. i guess ill just stick with the 4gb. /:
 
4 gig? what OS are you going to run?

XP only supports 3 gig of ram just in case you don't know. And I believe that 32 bit vista only supports 3.5 gig. But I could be wrong about that.
