Hi.
So I built my first computer a few weeks ago. Everything works fine, and it's all been great so far. Both my graphics card and monitor support HD, so I thought I'd try it out, so I borrowed my brother's cable (I hadn't thought of this when buying all of my parts), and tried to plug it in.... When I did, it seems like the port for the HDMI cable is too close to the computer case for it to be able to go into the port straight, so i can't plug it in.
I noticed that the engraving on the back of the graphics card (The part that the ports are in) that lables each of the ports is written upside down....
The fan on the graphics card is pointing down.... I don't understand how it could be upside down, because it plugs in perfectly the way it is, but I have no clue what's wrong..... If I could turn the graphics card upside down, it would be far away enough from any part of the case for it to interfere with it... I was thinking that maybe the graphics card has a mini HDMI port, but the port seems to be just the right size for a regular HDMI... As you may be able to tell, I am not very technically savy, so it's kinda hard for me to figure out just what the problem is.
It's not a huge deal, it would just be nice to be able to use my graphics card to its fullest potential.
Here are the parts I have:
Graphics card:
GTX 550 Ti
Case:
CoolerMaster Haf 912
MoBo:
gigabyte 970a-ud3
all other parts seem irrelevant with this problem, and I'm not even sure the MoBo is......
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance
