My GTX260

I can save up. Decent job. Pay my bills always. I do have a SLI system. I also may be keeping my two monitor setup.

Well, without a budget of the kinda gpu your looking for its hard to recommend something. The GTX295 is the best single card(dual gpu's on one card) out there at the moement, basically two GTX275's sandwiched onto one card. The GTX285 is the second best nvidia gpu, its the best single gpu single card out there right bow. The GTX275 is essentially the replacement for the gtx260, with the same amount of shaders as a gtx285, but the memory interface and rop's of a gtx260 core 216.

what card would you recommend for gaming at 1680x1050 ? gtx 260 or 275 ? 285 would be an overkill wouldnt it ?

Think I am gonna go for the 285, unless 295 is really worth the 500-600 bones. I am halfway sure that my CPU will bottleneck that card.

Depending where you live you can buy a GTX 275 1792mb GPU for little under $300 it will run ANY resolution you want. At newegg.com (USA only) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130476

Mind you
Minimum of a 550 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 40 Amps.)

If you want a 180ish dollar solution get a GTX 260 216 core. I currently use it and at 1440x900 I can max out Fallout 3 with x16 AF and x6 AA with FPS to spare.

Good card and will play your resolution...its the old school "8800GT" a great card at a good price.

I just got it today (192 core version) for a cheap price but its a beastly card for sure.
