uhh i just built a new computer and its my first one. My hard drive is a 250 gig and its a sata. On my desktop i get the icon on the bottom safley remove hardware and its my hard drive. why is it doing this or how could i get rid of that so some one one doesent accidenty unplug the hard drive?

sata is hotswappable means u can pull it out while its running - read about it a few weeks ago in this forum, do a bit of searching..

Yea there's nothing to worry about here :-) it's the same for myself as it should be for just about everyone using a SATA HD assuming they are running windows xp ;-).

True but I still wouldnt do it :P

how much porn can one person download?
- I can download roughly 400GB per month
- Who said anything about download?

^500 GB.......that means. hmm... probably can save around 400 DVD quailty porn videos(assume 1 video= 1.X GB).... lol
Or a couple hours of raw avi footage....

I was not entirely sure but it does make sense as it's a windows xp feature although I'm running windows xp pro SP2. I would imaging windows would not allow you to remove it as windows sits on that HD :-) again I'm just assuming as that makes sense in my mind LOL. I'll bite the bullet here and try it ;-).

Edit:

This is the error messag... The device 'name' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later.

With the right sources, as much as your body can take. lol

Seriously though, why waste your time with porn? There are a lot better things to do with your computer than look at that garbage.

Get out more, there really is sunshine outdoors.

When I max out my line I can recive aprox 3.3Gb data every hour, or 79Gb every day. So a disc in that size isn't that large anymore, it would take me around 76 hours to fill it.

Taking something out or putting it in while the computer is on
Excellent .... PATA drives dont support hotswapping so what exactly did you mean when you say
