Hi to all
I'm a new here, and i've got a question.
My HDD creates so many bad sectors during long times of use, that i have to sometimes completely format it and create some new partions again...!!!
What can i do to solve this problem effectively..??
I do sometime disk deframents and it helps a little but after 6-7 months, i have to format it anyway...
please don't tell me to buy a new HDD, cause i have to then change my entire system to a new one, and i have no money for that now. :o:D

I have actually heard frequent defrag's can cause bad sectors :P

Typically, a low-level format/zero write will eliminate bad sectors. Not always, but it has cured a few of my older drives. If you google a bit you can find a few LLF utilities. Sorry, I don't know of any right off. The one I used was an old Seagate Utility and I think it had a drive size limitation :P
