My HP Pavilion 750c

I have an HP Pavilion 750c with no mobo or cpu, i have everything else for it. I don't want to put much money into it but i want 2.0ghz or better. What do you recommend me getting trying to stay under 150ish? I don't know about AMD processors, but if thier cheaper i want to get one of those. but which one? i know nothing about thier stuff.

Also, i don't know if hp's uses standard board form factors, i know compaq doesn't/didn't, but if hp does it's an microATX, otherwise it's something close to that

Well for under 150 and >2 GHz you could go with a Celeron D 2.4 GHz:

It wouldn't be a gaming computer but it wouldn't be bad either; for under $150 I think you'll either have to skimp out on the CPU or mobo. You'll have to wait for one of the AMD guys for opinions on those CPUs/mobos. I have a Celeron D 2.4 GHz and it works very well.
 
Well, a P4 will cost at least about $120 or so, and that's a 2.26 GHz w/o hyperthreading. That doesn't leave much $ for the mobo. You'll probably want AMD.
