My internal modem

i have a problem with windows xp constantly not detecting my internal modem.

i have it working somedays and others its not.

i have had a look in system device manager, to see if it has detected or even installed it, but it just comes up with a blank screen

i dunno if this is the right section for this but it was the only one the suited my needs.

Have you tried starting in Safe Mode, then accessing Device Manager?

When you do find the model and type of modem it is, you can try going to their manufacture site and see if there are any updates. If there is, download it and install it to see if it fixes the problem.

If it is internal, you might have to check the motherboard site?

I am assuming it means it is bolted on the motherboard? I dont know if it exists, but that's my assumption.

Internal modem usually means a modem card in a PCI slot.
