My internet doesn't work correctly

when i came home yesterday, my internet was so slow all of a sudden. It takes ages to load pages, and some pages i just can't load. I can't update my games or anything. I did a speed test and it started at 1000 kb and then it went just down, when about 50 i got an error.

I also did a full scan on my computer with Microsoft Security Essentials and it showed no viruses.

It is a wireless connection, my bro, 3 phones are connected to it without problems.

I have no clue of what to do please someone help...

I have asked about this in another forum but i get no response, so I hope someone will help me here :good:
 
How far away are you from the router? Any new wireless or electronic devices in the area?
 
Like wireless phones or new appliances? Have you tried doing a system restore to a day before it screwed up?
 
the laptip which i am having problems with is rather new yes.. but the internet have worked on it.. just a night i came home it stopped working (still only with my laptop)
 
Possibly the wireless card in the laptop is dying/overheating. You may want to see if there is an updated driver for it. Also you never did answer the question about if there are any new devices or appliances in the house? Some new appliances interfere with the wireless signal or wireless card. You may want to try a usb wireless adapter to see if it still does it. If it works normally then you know there is something wrong with the onboard wireless.
 
Go into device manager, click the plus sign next to network adapters and then right click on the wireless adapter and click properties. click the driver tab and find the date. What computer do you have?
 
What wireless adapter do you have? Look in device manager under network adapters and tell me which one you have.

The links are to the drivers listed. Since you have the atheros adapter then click on the link to reinstall the driver.
 
Then it sounds like you may have a wireless card issue. Try a usb wireless adapter and see if the same thing happens.
