My internet suddenly started cutting out, dropping out, and dieing.

My internet just suddenly started cutting out at random spots and the load times for all sites are awful. I know it's not a virus because I've done two scans with Malwarebytes. I think it is either my ISP or my network card, can anyone help me out? My ISP is Bell Sympatico internet, and my network card is a D-Link DWA-542 Rangebooster Wireless N card.

Nah, just wireless connection although if I get enough money with a summer job I might just pay someone to wire an ethernet cable through my wall to my router. I'll talk to my mom about getting Rogers too, the only problem is our phones and t.v. are in a package so I don't think it is much of an option.
 
If your running Firefox and Vista there is a bug where your internet just cuts out on random occasions and you cant close Firefox? Is this happening to you?
 
do all of the basics first, virus scan, update software, check physical connections, etc

if the problem persists i would call your ISP. i recently had a similar problem and was at my wits end about what to do. turns out it was faulty hardware on the box outside my house

Yeah, I'll do another virus scan right now. What software do I update lol? Also, our other computer is hardwired to the router so I know the router isn't faulty. I guess I'll call Bell tomorrow and see what the hell is up.
