my keyboard displays the wrong characters

I have a Microsoft Digital Media Pro keyboard. Lately, I've run into problems with a few keys.

The <Enter> key acts like <scroll lock> and <enter> simultaneously. The <scroll lock> does the same thing.

'Single quotation' and 'up arrow' do both functions.
The <delete> key does a backslash while also deleting.

Anyone know what might cause this? I've tried reinstalling the latest drivers.

Thanks!

Ha thats weird ive have never had that problem? Have you tried taking it back saying there is a fault?

If its a normal keyboard to your country, there is no reason to that.

Did you checked if configuration is right? Go to Control Panel/regional configurations/languages/details. Take a look there.

If you drop liquid in it, can cause this behavior too.

That is more than likely the exact issue. Different countries have different keyboards. My daughter's computer has english windows with a German Keyboard. If you type on it like you are writing english...all kinds of weird things happen. She has to constantly change the language settings for Windows and Microsoft Office when she is doing homework depending on what language she is using at the moment.

The computer is configured for an English - US keyboard, which is as it should be. I checked the control panel.

And is this keyboard an English one?

If its correct, try to open it and check for problems inside.

Or... buy another one. Its cheap.
