Hello! I just bought a laptop, its a acer apacer 3004nlc. The problems started occuring after i installed the drivers. The story goes like this: 1. I installed Microsoft windows xp. 2. i installed the drivers. 3. after reboot, windows starts, mouse movements gets sluggish, and after 3, 4 sec it completly freezez. I repeated steps 1 and 2, and i got the same results. After many hours of detective work i figured out if i boot in safe mode, everything is working fine, and if i disable from run-services.msc- the network connections, it runs smooth in normal mode to. But if i disable it, and i reboot in normal mode, after i enable and the service, i still cannot get a network connection established. Please help me with a solution. ps. i have experience in servicing pc and laptops, but i bever encoutered such a problem.

Your problem all relates to one thing - you bought an Acer laptop! Yes, so did I, but that was a long time ago and I have since sold it for someone else to have problems with.

In relation to your question, mine did that for quite a period of time. I just had to format the hard drive, and reinstall Windows. Ensure you have anti-virus before allowing it to try and update. In other words, install anti-virus before using LAN/WLAN or 3G. AVG is good and free - highly recommended.

Download AVG 7.5 free

Nothing else I can suggest really, except the advice never to buy an Acer laptop again! I have nothing against their PDA's and desktops - because they work! But their laptops are just cheap piles of plastic (and they bend, and the cases crack very easily!)

control.alt.delete.Prossess and start turning stuff off one at a time. When the problem goes away,,you know where to start looking.

If it still does it with the stuff you can turn off.Ship that sucker back to ACER and tell them to cram it.
