Indeed, those are a pain in the ass to replace and most places will charge you ~$150+. If you're handy with disassembling things and soldering, you could do it yourself.So the charging port(or battery) is bad? that sucks, major!
Depending on the age of the laptop it might be more cost effective to just roll that into a new system.
