My Laptop Touchpad Becomes Unusable/jumpy When I Plug In Any Usb Device

I installed window 7 on my Toshiba l300 laptop yesterday, all is fine. Apart from when I plug in any usb device the touchpad becomes unusable and when I touch it the mouse pointer jumps all over the place.

Any ideas?

All drivers seem to be installed fine.

Have you tried several different models and makes of flash drives? Possibly the software drivers from the flash drive model you are using are causing problems with Windows 7.
