My monitor just simply wont work

Well I need to transfer the other CPU because it's either i5 or pentium 4. Also I am transferring all of the good parts except the motherboard in the other computer and I would sort of need the right socket to put it in or else it wouldn't work.

my other spare parts computer that I have mentioned before also has something wrong with it and it happened probably 6 years ago. So I would have to go to one of my friend's house and put my graphics card in their computer.

How are you connecting the PCIe power to the PSU? Are there dedicated power cables or are you using adaptors for molex?

Take a picture or two of your computer inside and post. That may provide clues too.

So my camera is crap. I took a zoom in on the 24 pin connector, and the graphics card. I am sorry because this doesn't give a perspective on what my computer looks like too well. Hopefully though, it helps.

So that is one cable with 2 x PCIe 6 pins?

What exact motherboard? Swap the ram from the 2 x green slots to the blue slots.

Also, you have incorrect screws in the standoffs. They look a bit bent and could potentially be causing issues. Replace with proper ones.

If you don't know the exact motherboard, download PC Wizard, install and run it, then go to FILE, SAVE AS, save that text file and copy its contents to this thread.

1 Cable with 2 6 pin connectors.

I am still trying to figure out what motherboard it is because I can't use PC Wizard.

Can you clarify what you mean by the Incorrect screws in the standoffs?

Look at the motherboard, it will be written somewhere.

Look at this picture and look at your screws.

No Idea. I know what the exact model is, but I am not sure of what the model number of it is. Its a lenovo thinkcentre m90p 5498.
May I ask why the model number matters?

You will have 1 problem. Windows won't activate on the new motherboard. You can't activate an OEM license on a non OEM motherboard. However, if you install the new motherboard and everything works like it should, then you can just call up the activation number and tell them your motherboard crapped out and they should reactivate it for you. You may have to reinstall windows though since its a totally different motherboard.

Yes, reinstall for sure. Secondly, call the MS number, follow the prompts, 1, 1 etc. They'll reactivate it.

So the motherboard came yesterday but I had no time to fiddle with it. I just realized that my case is not the right size. I have a standard ATX motherboard and a micro ATX compatible case. I plan to order a new case today and it'll arrive on friday, but would it be ok to run it temporarily on cardboard? I remember re assembling my computer onto cardboard earlier in this thread.
