My most expensive build. I'm scared.

I dont understand what your problem is, everything will work well....although you havn't mentioned any harddrive :P

I already have a hardrive, monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse. I plan on using onboard audio. I'm just trying to gather opinions about the build itself. Anything I forgot, or did wrong? All of my past rebuilds have been with my school's, or friend's parts.

Well theres nothing wrong with your build at all :) Ive had experiences with all that show us ;) except the case :P

I've been being an off-topic whore
Not something a site admin wants to see.

As for the system, why not get XP2500 and not-uber-fancy memory?? You could then get something nice like a 6800 :)

I hope you have better luck with your case/ps than what I had with mine. I spent $30 or $40 on my nice little combo. Then I blew up the power supply and spent $80 on a new one. Now I'm thinking about getting a new case too.

I would also advise you go with the xp2500+, Read a little more about the Vid Card, Have not used it myself but read where others have problems - more experienced users of that card can update. Memory has been an issue with that otherwise excellent board. A good Ram is practically a must rather than some of the cheap quality stuff. Also go with 2 sticks to experience better performance via Dual Channel.

Cheers

Also go with the Nvidia System drivers rather than the ones asus provides. There are updated versions over the one on your package CD.

As the case with any mobo :)

1. The mobo is prolly overkill, the A7N8X should be more than enough :)
2. Nice call on the VC
3. You prolly could save some money and get a CHenming case
4. Good call on the proc, no need to spend on a XP3200 when the 'slower ones' will OC plenty fine. Just note that OCing A32 chips requires aftermarket cooling :)
