My new build - Opinions, and need gfx card advice

Hi Guys,

So. I am building a new PC - I have a strict budget of around £700. This is my spec so far. I believe all is compatible, if it's not, please do tell me. All I need is a graphics card to complete this build, can anyone recommend one for gaming? Looking to play modern games such as Crysis 2 etc.

So, about £126 is your budget? Around $200? I would recommend an AMD 6850. One with a good heatsink and fan.

Yeah around the £100 mark, not sure what it is in dollars. Is the 6850 good enough to cope with games on high settings etc?

Oh yes. Crysis and battlefield 3 may have issues, but you're gonna be hard pressed to find a card that'll run those absolutely flawlessly. You could go a little more and get a 6950. This card is the one I'm getting with my new bulldozer build:

Of course, would have to find a UK website.

$222 after rebate, so about £135. I'd say its worth it.

Can anyone tell me if the above is compatible? I'm going to be choosing a XFX 6870 as the graphics card btw.

As long as your RAM can fit in your MoBo, you're good to go.
