The first thing that jumps out is that you do not need a 1.3KW PSU. I think a 750W or so would be more than adequate. Do you have any plans for SLI?

I haven't given any thought, to SLI.
Your referring to a 2nd nvida card, correct? I've never considered it. How much of a hassle is it and would it be a noticeable gain?

Not much of a hassle. The card isnt out yet, and I wouldnt replace it unless the card you have isnt doing all you want it to do.

Yes, the card is the Nvidia GTX 980, hopefully the TI version will be out soon

SLI would be pretty dumb with another 690. That would be 4 way SLI and it would suck.

Your PSU is kinda overkill, and always will be, though that's not really a bad thing. Just remember to replace it in around 5 years, or at the very least, open it, clean it up, and replace any bad capacitors.

I reccomend your next upgrade being a faster, bigger SSD or a better GPU. Not that the ones in your build aren't great, but just in case you ever get that itch, those are the things to upgrade.

Oh, have you built this yet? Or is this all planned?

Do you already have the 690 or are buying new? I'd get something from the 900 series instead.

Is this for gaming? You have a pretty high end system, but just a mid-ranged video card. If you are short on funds, get a lower wattage PSU and get a better video card.

nobody noticed the 64gb RAM lol, why do you need 64gb RAM? and 1350w psu for the build, and hard drive cooler. My system uses around 700w on maximum load with overclocks.

8-16gb is the norm for gaming, the saving could have most likely bought you another GPU for SLI, or better performing cpu cooler.

The gtx 980ti isnt going to come out for some time, most likely 2016 so its a while away yet.

Honestly your build is great OP. No real reason to upgrade yet. I'd wait for the R9 3XX series before upgrading your GPU, if you feel the need to upgrade it soon.

What resolution is your monitor?

What's the purpose of asking for component opinions after you've already purchased?

Agreed! You say 'any input would help' in your first post and then say 'I already built it'. What input do you want from us?

This is/was an older build.

I don't belong to any other forums or computer clubs. I just want input on my machine.
I'm a novice on computers but really starting to get into the hobby!

I purchased the 690, because all the reviews were positive. Some of the stuff I went overboard on, I did it because I could.

my monitor is 27in Samsung C230 led 1080p

Well I think it is fairly safe to say that your machine is probably one of the most powerful here! :)

It's a powerful machine and the 690 is still a very good card. Unless it's giving you in game problems the build is fine. The only thing I'd say is unless your using the 64gb RAM I'd sell it. It will yield no benefit on gaming over 16gb, 16gb itself is overkill for gaming and plenty for reasonable media work.

You could get rid of 48gb and buy another 690...

OKeys has dual 980s, but def one of the most powerful

I don't think anybody here has a CPU or the RAM to match this guy and I don't think anybody here has a 1TB SSD either (but I know some people have 2x500GB in RAID-0 which are faster).

But on the graphics front, Okedokey's is more powerful, yes.
