My new build, what do think?

A couple of people on here have done builds with a 5960X and DDR4 but in terms of cpu power and RAM amount its one of the best builds here.

my father and I did this machine. He enjoyed computers from the day of IBM and when they first started coming out, it was his hobby.

He passed away suddenly on Dec 16th '14 of a heart attack. This is how I got the machine, before that I built a basic desktop.

My goals, is to be just as informed as he was. This is why I joined this forum and researched exactly what I have.

I use it for online games, mostly first person shooters.

so yeah, its old in terms of build date but new to me

I do have one problem tho, I have twin fans set up and one fan doesn't want to work.

Its not effecting anything, the temp has never gone over 43. Its just strange it wont kick-on
 
Sorry about your loss.

Is the fan plugged into a 3 or 4 pin header?

and it's already been said multiple times, you have too much RAM.. :P
 
id just check its plugged into the mobo or pump header like the fan on the opposite side, connection may not be fully inserted. Ive had that happen a few times when a fan stopped after adjusting a few things in the case.
It will give you better temps if its in push/pull. At 43c theres plenty of room for overclocking the CPU though :D.

I'm going to glass panel off and see what's going on. The fan is def a push pull, only the works. If you spin it with your finger, it moves. i think the fan is bunk
