My New Build

Hi Forum,

I am building a new rig with gaming/power and overall performance in mind. I'm a programmer and really want my system to perform well in all aspects such as boot time, games like DotA 2 and some RPG games, speed, future-proof, sound etc.

This is what I have in mind: (Please let me know if any components are not compatible or not wise to purchase).

Chassis/Case: Cooler Master Cosmos 2 Ultra Tower
Motherboard: Asus Z87 Deluxe Dual
Processor: Intel Haswell i7 4770k (Overclocked to 4.4GHz)
Heatsink: Corsair H100i
Graphics Card: GTX EVGA 780
RAM: Avexir 16GB 2400MHz
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB
HDD: WD Caviar Black 2TB
PSU: XFX 850Watt
Monitor: 27" S27B970D Series 9 Quad HD LED monitor
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate
Mouse: Razer Mamba
Speakers: TBC
Mouse Pad: TBC

What do you guys think? My main concern is that the monitor which I want is 27" with a high resolution. Am I right to think that the so called "beast" GTX 780 will take on the 27" without a sweat if I play, say, Crysis on full whack settings (It flippin' better do).

Would you also rather get the Corsair Dominators instead of the Avexirs?

Crysis 3 no. Crysis 3 pwns GTX680 SLI at max everything at 27".

However it will play everything else probably on max or slightly below. It will be a very bloody nice pc.

Although I won't be playing games like Crysis on full settings, is it safe to say that I'll be able to play games like DotA, Guild Wars and other such RPG (good quality and power hungry) games on full settings?

Ok cool. What do you think of the compatibility? I.e. Is the PSU good quality? Will it be enough? Would you rather go for a Corsair Dominator?
