I made my own custom cooling, using a dryer vent tube. Right now i just have a fleece stuffed in the window to keep the heat from escaping, but im gonna find a more permenant solution soon.

here are some pics:

wait thats the exhuast..unless you switched it around?
if its not then i dont see how it would cool it, as the hot air is going out side and no cool air going inside...
im confused tell me how is it sopose to cool your system?

no, its an intake. It would be pretty stupid if it was exhaust, lol.

I have 4 fans in my case, 2 are intake and 2 are exhaust, one of the exhaust fans is on the side panel, the other on the PSU. There are 2 intake fans, one is bring cold air in from outside, and the other is just in the front of the case. The suction from the fan draws the cool air from outside, and then it cools down the cpu, chipset, and gpu (yes i've noticed a drop in temp).

Well there arent any bugs out in winter, during spring i'll probably have to take it out.

The one thing that i was a little worried about is rain and snow, but i think that if i just have the opening pointing down then it should be fine.

wat if your fan was powerfull enough to suck up water or snow that is falling? ever thought of that?:P jp

btw it would be funny if someone lit a smoke bomb under the vent so that when your on the comp all of a sudden colored smoke fills your comp and room and your just like fire!!! but really its not lol :D

Hey! I have done something like that before! Well not rele but same idea(kinda). I took and ehaust fan that you would normaly have in a bathroom. Then i had in run threw the 80MM fan port. It sucked gobs of air threw my computer, but i had to get rid of it in about a month becuase my parents complained about the constant humm from the attic.

Its not that powerful, lol

And i live in the middle of nowhere so theres no one else around for a good distance.

Thats all i have to say is WOW. lol What are your temps?
well im trying to figure out whats what, since bios shows 20C for cpu, and 30C for system, but everest shows 30C for cpu, and 17C for system.

But im thinking that the low temp really is my cpu temp, so in that case its around 15C-18C idle.

Ok, so my real cpu temp is around 16-18C idle, in windows it shows 16-17C, and in bios it shows 17C:

Cool....I think that the BIOS should be right. How cold is it outside? Are you not worried about water condensation and stuff?

JAN :D

i did that once, then it rained and got moisture in my comp from the humitidy(my AXP system) so be carefull, but i saw my temps get as low as 18F (it was -20~F and thats when i had it overclocked to like.. 2.9GHz from 2GHz, it was a good idea till it got shorted :P

Well outside its 47F (8C). Im not really worried about it now, since its very dry out and i cant get rain in the vent. The spring will be a different story though.

EDIT: I read what you said Ku-Sama, most likely i'll only have that hooked up when its nice out, not when its foggy or raining. BTW, how did you have your hooked up?

like that, it was a quad fan box in the window, so i took out all of the fans in my computer and bought bigger heatsinks on everything, and in the summer when i forgot to switch it to exaust it rained and brought in alot of the bad air, lol

thats much different from mine, i have a dryer vent going out the windows and the open end is pointed down, so if it rains, then water wont get it, and it doesnt have as much suction. So i think i'll be alright.

Ok, its -1C outside right now, and here are the temps for my system:
