well i was in bestbuy and i bought a dell for like 300 bucks it had intergrated graphics and like a 300 watt power supply. i know this is kinda of overkill but i put a 600 watt power supply in there with a 50 doller gt 520. the question is i want i a new card later but all of the newer high graphic cards have pci express 2.1 i think thats what its called but i think my computer cant support it because it pci express but it doesnt have those extra things on the side that look like added on mini pci slots. does that matter if i have them or not?

sorry now i can simplify this i have pci express x16 and the powerful cards that i want to get use pci express x16 2.1 it has extra ends to it can i use it in my slot?
edit: or 2.0 i think not sure.

What perkomate said. I'm guessing your motherboard has a x16 2.0 slot, which would be the slot that most motherboards have, so you're most likely to be fine. But post your motherboard number and also make and model of your power supply.
