Hey, I just got done ordering these parts off Newegg. Anyone see any possible issues? Comments?

COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
14-161-301-Z01

HIS Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB Video Card
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Deneb 3.0GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor
Tuniq Tower 120 Universal CPU Cooler 120mm Cooling Fan
OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
HITACHI 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Foxconn A79A-S AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
APEVIA 650W SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
LG DVD Burner

A few things to note: I will be overclocking the processor to 3.6ghz, thanks to my aftermarket cooling fan. Also, the motherboard has 4 PCI Express 2.0 slots, so when the day comes that I can't run everything on max settings I'll just add another video card or two... or three. Also, I already own a 24" 1920x1200 monitor, that will be complimenting my new computer.

not to spoil the mood but im not too sure about the PSU. Im not an expert but im pretty sure apevia make some sub par units

Why didnt you go with an AM3 mobo and something like a AMD Phenom II X4 965?

Also id highly recommend changing that hard drive,Hitachi deskstar are known also has hitachi deathstar!!!!!

Same as the psu....not very good quality.

I suggest cancelling your order and let the guys here work their magic and build you a better setup list for your budget....im not saying the build you put up is total crap but it could be better.

Whats your max budget?

This may be a noob question, but why are you getting DDR2 800, when your mobo supports DDR2 1066:confused:

quite true...maybe he done it to save some cash, although i doubt 1066 is realy that much more than 800.

Idealy he would be wanting to look into an AM3 build or LGA 1156 from intel.

Unfortunately for you, I second on that, sorry :o

CPU + Mobo + RAM
I suggest you go for AM3 instead of AM2+

HDD - I recommend Seagate/ West digital over Hitachi. Also, I suggest go for 2 x 1TB HDD then single 2TB.

PSU - get a better brand.

Thanks for the input. The reasons I made the decisions you all are referring to is for price concerns. I had a $1,000 budget so I did the best I could with that number (ended up at $1,001 after rebates). I was also a bit concerned about Apevia, I know they're a budget brand, but I actually got my brother an Apevia for his gaming computer and it's still running 2 years later.

The RAM was also picked for the price. I figure I'll end up bumping up the FSB anyways, so it's all good.

Once again, the HDD was picked for the price. It was the cheapest way to get 2TB, and I figure by the time it dies I'll probably be wanting more storage space anyways :P

As for the pictures, I'll post some pics and screenies once the parts come in the mail
