My new machine is all planned out

After asking many questions around the board I've managed to put together all the parts i want for my new rig. I've already ordered the hard drive, RAM, and case. Any suggestions or things I should know about? Also, if you can find a better price on any of these parts, can you please tell me?

Motherboard-ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard-$180 @ Newegg

CPU- Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775- $195 @ Newegg

CPU Cooler- Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro- $15 (Don't ask)

OS- Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit Home Premium OEM- $105 @ Newegg

PSU- OCZ Gamexstream 700w- $130 @ Newegg

GPU: Either an HD3870 or 8800 GT. Probably the 8800.

Monitor- Recycled. Yeah that's right, I'm an eco-man baby.

you sticking with onboard gfx then?

only i see no GFX card listed there.

i would get a 8800GT if your a gamer :)

but apart from that looks a great build :)
 
I agree with oscaryu1, go for the Gigabyte boards or even Asus. I have used quite a few Abit boards and there good boards but most of them have been buggie in one way or another.

Ditto. My similar IP-95 could not overclock the very overclockable E4300... and it wouldn't turn Stepspeed off no matter what...
 
Alright guys. How do you guys think the Abit IP35 would stack up against the Gigabyte ga-p35-ds4 REV 2.0? Which should I get?
 
Yea, USB problems, where if you had something pluged into a USB port it would not boot, took 2 bios updates to fix it. Sometimes there killers with some ram but Asus has problems with ram too though. Alot of bios bug fixes. I think it has alot to do with there manufacture quality problems, not enough quality checks.
 
Ok guys, didn't feel like spamming up the place with a new post again, so I'll just edit this one. I looked up the ds4 a little more, and it's friggen awesome. Looks like it's going to keep things cool (probably overclock my E6750 to 3.0ghz). Right now I feel like a total retard for wanting to buy the ABIT board.:(

Gigabytes are good boards, installed alot of them and hardly ever get a DOA or finicky board, Asus are good boards but alittle more fussy about ram. Use alot of DFI boards too, like them pretty good alot of overclocking features.
