Hey,
Over the last few weeks, I have been putting together my new rig. I will be ordering the parts online and building it myself. Below is the rig:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83Ghz
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H 775 Quad Core
GPU: Palit GTX285 648Mhz 1Gb PCI-E
RAM: Kingston DDR2 4G(2x2G)PC8500 1066Mhz HyperX(KHX8500D2K2/4G)
HDD: Western Digital WD6401AALS Black 640Gb 32Mb SATA II
PSU: Coolermaster Ultimate UCP 700w PSU
Case: Coolermaster Centurion RC-590 No PSU
OD: Pioneer DVR-216BK
Montior: BenQ E2200HD

What I want to know, is will everything work and connect with each other correctly etc.

Cheers,

Yes, it should work.
However, I don't recommend you using Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H. It would be best to go for P45 chipset, it would overclock a lot better.
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R/ ASUS P5Q Pro are good alternative

PSU: How much is that PSU? Newegg sold it at $160, there are other good quality PSU with lower price, you may want to consider. e.g. HIPER Type M II HPU-5M730/
PC Power & Cooling S75CF 750W/ OCZ OCZ700MXSP 700W.

Or if you get CM690 with CM UCP RS700-AAAAA3 700W, combo deal @ $190.
