Well, ive finally done it. Here is my first build:

Its a little messy inside, but ive got an Akasa cable managment kit arriving soon.
At the weekend ill run whatever wires i can under the motherboard to tidy it up a little.

Spec & 3DMark score is in Sig.

Im using a crap 15" Samsung TFT at the moment, but for christmas im getting an AG Neovo F419.

So, what do you think for a first build?

thats a very nice case you have there. the old cable issue gets easier the more builds you do as you find better ways to get the cables out of the way, thats the only real drawback of cases with windows on the side.

also, i wouldn't go pushing cables under the motherboard, its not the safest way to deal with cables unless the motherboard is mounted on a tray and you can put the cables under the tray.
overall though, nice system

I would of liked a PSU where the cable detatch, but i couldnt find anything like that which could match the Akasa. 55A on quad lines make it quite the PSU! Stable too.

its a pain for me even with modular cables. i used to used some sticky back cable guides that allowed me to cable tie the excess cable out of the way but i cant get hold them anymore cos i dont have the job i used to lol

Sweet, sounds like a good idea. With that kit im getting its clear tubing, and you dont have to take the molex connectors off for it. Theres also cable tie retainers that keep the cables held down.

Easiest way to get rid of cable is to buy a 1000 pack of cable ties and go nuts :D Also helps if you avoid round IDE cables and buy flat ones ... if you take the time, you can fold them out of the way ... depending on the case, to fold them out of the way you may need longer cables (they go up to 48" that ive seen, i running 36" TPO cables now)
