My pc build decent?

Hi guys! Have been looking for a second opinion on the rig I'm about to order. Budget was about a grand for a heavy gaming desktop. Here is what I have come up with:

If you know of a better build, or maybe a certain component could be upgraded or downgraded at the expense of another, please let me know! I definitely want to be sure this is the best I can get for the money.

Maybe higher speed or lower timings on the memory.
Consider a 3rd party HSF.

you will also need a os disk, they are 100.

these are the same pretty much but use less energy, so better in the end

may want to look at a different case like the cooler master haf 912, the antec cases suck for cable management, where you run the wires behind the motherboard for looks and air-flow.

Are there any specific CD drives that are the best? Or will pretty much anything do?

And yes I know about OS disk. Bought Windows 7 Home at Walmart already.

I would also suggest buying some thermal paste. Thermal paste works better than the thermal pads that come with the heatsink. Clean the thermal pad off with rubbing alcohol and use the below thermal paste. Only put about the amount of a grain of rice on the processor. That is all you will need.

The SSD you've chosen is overpriced, its Sata II, and its not as fast as other Sata II drives.

You have Sata III so might as well get Sata III. It will makes a difference. You can get a high quality Sata III 120GB MLC ssd for less.

Any particular cd/dvd drives i need to look for?

The one listed is low profile and has an 80mm fan. It may be a bit better than stock, but not to spend money on it.
Get something like one of these (or there are many others), or use the Intel one till you can get a different one.

Sata III is a good choice on a SSD, i saw a diff just plugging mine from a sata ii port on accident to a iii

Yes. I thought I had 2 coolers compared, here's the other one. They are both compatible and do a great job.

My CM 212+ has a backplate that distributes the weight across a larger portion of the MoBo. I haven't heard anything about it bending the board.

How do you keep a cooler like the XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V from bending your motherboard? I have always looked away from models of processor coolers like this for fear that it would damage the mainboard.
