My PC makes a waaa sound

Hi, for some reason my fan keeps making this annoying waaaaaa sound, and i cant figure out how to get rid of it. Is there anyway to fix this, maybe clean it? Or do I need to buy a new fan? My PC is an INSIGNIA D300a (I know it sucks, dont rub it in).
 
Besides a need for cleaning if there is any buildup of dust cluttering the works there it sounds more like a cheap fan showing signs of wear. Have you been able to monitor the fan speed to see if it now running slower? Generally when you hear a fan make noises is when you place a load on the system where a fan controller then speeds the rpms up like starting a game or large app.
 
My knowlege for updating and adding new ahrdware to computers is very limited. I have no clue how to check my computers fan speed or anything remotely close to that. As far as cleaning the fan, how do I do that? Do you have a guide or can you tell me, such as taking a cloth and swiping off all of the dirt and dust.
 
Once fans begin to make such noises, you can't do much more than replace them... Find the offending fan and see if it'll be possible to replace. Many are fairly common sizes and can simply be unscrewed from the heatsync then a new one screwed back on... At times they may have different connections(not the typical 3 pin plugs or molex) but are easily converted.
 
Can you go to newegg and recommened a fan for me? Like I said I do not know much about installing hardware into PC's. My computer model is the INSIGNIA D300a, here are the specs. LINK
 
I couldn't get to the link there. The problem fan first has to be identified before assuming it's either one on the cpu heat sink or a case fan becoming louder for some reason. That could also be due to the fan coming loose. For cleaning any fan and the case in general you use a can of compressed air commonly seen in the computer accessories in retail stores. Any Walmart, Target, Staples, Compusa, Officemax, etc. including your local chain of retail food chains will have a can named "air duster" for the $3-$4 in their small hardware section.

When going to clean any system you have to use that in short bursts since the can will freeze up fast and air stops for a minute or so. Those come with a thin plastic tube for getting into tight places for blasting dust out. Any pc fan loves to collect dust build up.
 
Maybe there is something obstructing one of the fans...? Open your case, turn ur comp on, and see where the noise is coming from!
