My power supply has six 4 pin connectors. If I want to add more fans, what do I do?

My power supply has six of the standard four pin connectors. It is modular though, and has quite a few extra openings. Are there four pin cables you could buy. Or are there connectors or splitters, or that sort of thing?

Second, I will want to buy 120mm fans. Does brand matter? Should I just get some cheap rosewills?

Just get a splitter or something, or even a fan controller. Some of those will go from 1 model(4 pin connector) to 4+ fans.

As for fans, it's really up to you. Of course the more air (CFM's) the fan pushes, the better. Some fans will be louder than others (dB). Some may spin faster (RPMs) though this typically means very little.

Gracias. I actually just realized my fan plugs have an output slot on the other side. So I don't even need any extra cables though it is a bit of a stretch. They are cheap on newegg, so I think I will buy some next time I buy.

There are fans that are typically quiet too. Maybe a few more $$$, but not much. But as mentioned, CFM's are important to get rid of any ambient heat in the case.

As far as buying fans go, there are so many different types and brands I normally just browse Newegg for ones with a lot of reviews and few negative ones. When in doubt, just go with what has bee tried and tested.

Yeah, I found some cheap rosewills that have good reviews. I bought a GeminII heatsink, and I need a fan or two for it. Would it make a difference if it's 77cfm vs. 110 cfm? And does anyone know about the difference in noise?
