I only have one cd drive plugged in right now.. because when i plug in the other one ,while my computer is shut down, than turn it on, the computer wont start up. It'll just have the blinking under score and doesnt do anything.
no cds are in the drive

Have you set the jumper setting on the back of you cd correct to slave and master as required. Also do you manage to boot to BIOS, does the screen turn on at all

having the master/slave jumpers set wrong should still let him boot into windows, just not able tot use the drives. sounds what PSU do you have .

I got rid of the blinking under score problem.
i had my cd drive set up to boot that first cuz i was installing windows xp again on my old computers hard drive.
so i switched to booting up my hard drive first. but the problem now is that when i go to "My computer" it doesnt show the DVD drive it just shows my CD-RW.
Both of them work.. the other disk drive isnt in Disk Management either

They both work fine by themselves
the jumpers for both of them are set to: [:]:::
if your looking at it from the back with it right side up

edit:
my friend thinks i should take the jumpers out of the optical drives...
will that mess up anything

the jumpers for th 2 optical drives should be in different positions. one in master and one in slave, this is why it isnt working

do you guys know anything that'll work for extending the buttons kinda.. lol
cuz when i press the button the case it doesnt open it lol

by the sounds of this you have a stealthed bay cover? the drive goes into the bay and then the stealth cover goes over? If so then I suggest this, Remove the face of your optical drive/s before mounting them into the bay and then insert your optical drive (don't tighten) put on the stealth face plate then from reaching inside the PC position the optical drive so that the button on the stealth faceplate hits the button on the optical drive. Once it does then hold the drive in place while you tighten it with the screws provided.

You can always fasten something to the button like a small plastic block via crazy glue or something but I don't like that idea :). There's also the option of replacing the button entirely and placing it somewhere on the face of your PC or wherever you desire but that requires solder and a voided warranty :).
