My samsung 2014 tablet is becoming slow on start up

I did a soft reset on my tablet about a month ago.

It still works fine. the problem I have now is, it takes up to 6 or 7 seconds to open. In the past it opened within a second.

I went to youtube, so I know how to speed up the tablet. I also disabled a lot of apps and careful which ones I have diabled.

Has any one have the same issue?

I have a feeling tablets over time get slower and slower, even if you reset it

My one is a 2014 edition

Hi Darren, That's what i did

I think my tablet is breaking. it now tkaes 6 seconds and then turns of within a second.

It's properly a hardware issue

I'd suspect battery, usually those aren't too terribly hard to replace. My Galaxy Tab S started acting weird after a while, crashing or shutting off if doing very much or just giving weird visual distortions. Replaced battery and it's been much happier. I know it was dropped by the previous owner too, got it as a trade at work.
