OK so my computer came with windows vista installed on it. i made a partition so i could dual boot windows xp and windows vista. i honstly dont remember the last time that i used vista since its so slow >_<

is there a way to delete the windows vista partition and give all that hard drive space to windows xp without messing up the windows xp i already have installed? any help would be appreciated.

i think you need to uninstall your vista than is consider as remove. deleting the file does not means is remove

If you really want to remove Vista, reinstall XP and don't partition it. If you delete the partition, you might have booting problems. When you remove a partition, you remove some of the boot information along with it, so it might cause some trouble for you.

so there is no way to keep my windows xp programs and everything intact?

If you have absolutely no way of backing up your data, then you can try to delete it and try a system repair with your xp disc. However, I wouldn't recommend it as I am not 100% sure what the outcome will be or if a repair will be able to fix it.

But, if you can back up your data before, it'll be a much better option for you.

is there any way to make my windows xp partition bigger and keep Vista on just to play with whenever i want to. cause as of right now xp has the smaller partiton

Yes, you can resize it. Risk is not as great, but there still is risk involved. So make sure you can store the most important things somewhere.

There are many programs that can help you, but here is a free one.

It's pretty reliable as many people including myself use it also. Go through their documentation for help if you need anythiing.

so i have that already on a CD an used ot for reformatting. i dont know how to resize stuff though. what do i do once im in there?

well, im retarded. i'll admit it right up front. i resized the partitions and didnt remember to save the two most important files on my computer. the drivers for my display and the drivers for my sound. took me like 10 days to find them. now my computer wont start up to windows xp or windows vista. the only way im able to write this is cause im using a live cd for ubuntu. is there any way i can access those 2 little files? i seriously need them bad >_<
