My Video Card...Outdated?

Guys,
I don't game very much and I really don't much about video cards. Is my card considered outdated yet?

Considered outdated? Yes. Do you really need to replace it yet? I don't think so.

You could probably get about another 6 months out of it, and then the GTX 285 should be at or below $150 and spring for one of those. But, you should be able to still play any game at decent if not high graphics for a while yet...

Thanks DCI. Video cards are the one thing I really don't keep up with.

Yeah, usually you can get away with skipping at least one generation if not sometimes 2 generations of cards before you really have to upgrade the card.

Nah, that's still a very decent card.

Performance-wise that thing is still up there with the 9800GTX(+) and Radeon 4850, so there's really no need replacing it - considering it supports the latest version of DX currently out, you can easily get away with that card and upgrade when DX11 hardware comes out, unless you like playing some REALLY GPU-intensive games with all imaginable settings maxed out.
